THE DEATH OF A  LEGEND...

ONE OF THE MOST ICONIC BUILDERS OF kustom cars & hot rods, for almost SEVEN decades was GEORGE BARRIS.

His legacy of truly historic cars known by, not just the Rod & Custom Industry but by the Public as well, included TV's "Munster Koach" & "Drag-U-La" from the "Munsters" Series, and of course, everyone's all-time favorite: "The Batmobile".  George Barris WAS "The King Of The Kustomizers" !

Sadly, he passed-away, Thursday, November 5th, 2015, at the age of 89, but the creations he designed & built through the year's will live in the hearts & minds of fans all-over-the-World.

As a kid, George Barris was one of my Heroes; as an adult, he became one of my friends. Accordingly, I've set-up a Special Tribute Page to George...the Link is at the bottom of this page.

BUT, I also wanted you to hear this Special Interview I did with George on how he designed and built the World  Famous "BATMOBILE".

IN THIS SPECIAL PRODUCTION, you will not only hear George Barris, but BOTH  "BATMAN" & "ROBIN" and the BATMOBILE itself, make an appearance !   Here's the Link to that Special Page on the Hall Of Fame Legends Site where you can listen to the Interview: http://www.legends.thewwbc.net/gpage23.html

R.I.P., George, and thank you for the memories. You were not only a friend...you were truly the "King Of The Kustomizers".

Jonnie King (November 6, 2015)

[ Special thanks to the Barris Family for their Info, help & support.  Here's a Link to their great  Site: http://www.barris.com/ ]

NOTE: THE SPECIAL, COMPLETE TRIBUTE PAGE  for George Barris, featuring TWELVE of the One-On-One, In-Person Interviews that he & I did between 2006-2014, covering a dozen of his most famous kustoms, including "The Little Deuce Coupe", can be accessed by going to this dedicated Hall Of Fame Legends Site Link:  http://www.legends.thewwbc.net/gpage146.html
